Henri Richard has spent a lifetime trying to skate out of the shadow of his brother, Rocket, the greatest star in the history of hockey. Now in his 10th season with the Canadiens, Henri, who long ago was tagged with the obvious nickname, the Pocket Rocket, is one of the two or three best NHL centres. He is more graceful than his brother, a better stick-handler and playmaker. At 157 pounds, he is also 40 pounds lighter and lacks the strength and fire of the Rocket.
